Emma's Goodnestone Park Wedding 21.07.18
I was so besotted with Emma’s beautiful Goodnestone park wedding I thought I would take the time to blog about Emma’s hair and make-up I created for her a couple of weeks ago.
When we arrived at Goodnestone Park we were so overwhelmed by the beauty of the gardens and then the décor of the house, we already wanted to move in on a permanent basis! It was a simmering 22 degrees already at 6:30am when we arrived so all the windows were thrown wide open, giving us this amazing view while bridal prep was underway.
After a couple of hair trials Emma decided on a tousled half up half down hair style with plenty of fresh roses placed in the hair to give it a focal point. Emma chose not to have a veil so we were able to make a real feature of her glorious thick blonde hair. The beautiful flowers supplied by Essentially Hops completely finished off the look.
For Emma’s make-up we created a lovely fresh glow with a fresh coral blush and a golden shimmer complimented with a nudey pink lip.
Emma has great skin so I prepped and primed using my ever faithful Bobbi Brown Vitamin E Face Base & Becca’s First Light primer.
I then used the Armani Silk foundation & whilst keeping the coverage sheer on the cheeks, added slightly more on the t-zone as it was such a hot day.
We used a selection of soft browns and warm shimmery champagne pinks on the eyes, a soft brown kohl liner and plenty of Ardell individual lashes.
I Used the Tom Ford bronzer in Terra to lightly contour the face & The Becca Be A Light Palette to shade and highlight the face. Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in nectar on the cheekbones. I also used a Bobbi Brown Powder Blush in Coral on the apples of the cheeks. I then finished the highlight by gently dusted Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal just on the temples and the other high points of the face.

It was an early start with 7 ladies requiring hair & make-up but I had the fabulous Nina Gregory working with me to get all these lovely ladies ready in time.
Emma opted for her bridesmaids to have a neat and classic chignon. I think this complimented their elegant powder blue Hobbs dresses beautifully, whilst also keeping the hair off their necks on this scorcher of a day.
Nina took care of the bridesmaids make-up & both mother of the bride & groom which left me able to focus on hair for the bridesmaids and hair and make-up for Emma.
The overall make-up was finished with the Bobbi Brown Luxe Lip Colour in Pale Mauve, this dreamy soft pink is perfect for that wedding day nude lip.
The best bit about the day is I got to stick around and assist my husband Matt Ebbage with the photography side of things & adding in a few hair and make-up touch ups for the immediate bridal party.
It was such a privilege to see this beautiful day from start to finish, and it truly was a beautiful English summers wedding in a magnificent country pile. And yes, I went home and dug out my copy of Pride and Prejudice........
